Team One Solutions is Hiring a Low Voltage Cable Technician Near San Francisco, CA

We are an East Bay based, low voltage cable contractor in business for over 20 years with specialization in data networks and telecom.

Our company is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to join our team of rising stars. The ideal candidate will have some experience working with cable and tools safely on job sites, and will have an aptitude for technology. The Low Voltage Technician will be responsible for installing, and repairing issues with CAT6 copper and SM/MM fiber. This position requires reliability, hard work and a positive attitude. The right candidate will we be willing to work independently and have the desire take on responsibilities and grow with us.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of CAT6, Fiber, and Paging Cable throughout the job sites
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure.
  • Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems.
  • Pull cables, such as copper, twisted pair, fiber optics, other cable types through conduit/pathways/above ceilings/etc
  • Testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications.
  • Identifying and removing redundant cabling.
  • Installation of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct
  • Ensuring all cables are neatly tied, dressed, and bundled according to safety regulations
  • Installation of network devices such as; cameras, access points, paging ppeakers, and AV equipment such as ceiling mounted projectors.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of previous work experience as a cable technician or similar electrical trade
  • Solid experience using power tools and mounting equipment to various commercial building surfaces
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix problems that may arise
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to identify independent colors and learn color codes

Ideal Requirements:

  • Understand BICSI standards
  • Experience using scissor and boom lifts
  • Experience using heavy power tools, coring, and drilling.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
